Refund Policy
Last updated: May 25, 2026
Effective date: May 25, 2026
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to fees paid for PIDMate software, subscriptions, and related paid services (the “Service”), purchased through Enginuity Apps (“PIDMate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) or our authorized payment provider.
This policy supplements our Terms of Service at [URL]. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Service govern except where applicable law requires otherwise.
2. Not all Sales Are Final
Except as expressly stated in this policy or required by applicable law, all purchases are final and non-refundable after the day 14 of the purchase.
Once payment is successfully processed, you are entitled to a refund, credit, or charge reversal, including when:
You change your mind or no longer wish to use the Service
You fail to use, install, or activate the Service
Your computer, operating system, or network is incompatible with the Service
You are dissatisfied with features, performance, or results of engineering calculations
Your subscription renews automatically (see Section 4)
The entitlement is based on the points outlined in bullet 3.
All purchases are final and non-refundable when:
Your account is suspended or terminated for violation of our Terms
3. Refund After Purchase
Full refunds are available within two days after purchase, including for:
One-time purchases (non-renewing access periods)
Initial subscription payments
Renewal charges
Upgrades, downgrades, or seat changes
Promotional or discounted pricing
Partial refunds are available within between day 3 and day 14 days after purchase, including for:
One-time purchases (non-renewing access periods)
Initial subscription payments
Renewal charges
Upgrades, downgrades, or seat changes
Promotional or discounted pricing
For partial-refunds, the refund will amount to the purchase amount after subtracting the cost of daily use multiplied by the number days passed after purchase.
Refunds are not available after 14 days of purchase, including for:
One-time purchases (non-renewing access periods)
Initial subscription payments
Renewal charges
Upgrades, downgrades, or seat changes
Promotional or discounted pricing
4. Subscriptions, Renewal, and Cancellation
Automatic renewal. If you select a recurring subscription, you authorize us (through our payment processor) to charge you at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
Cancellation. You may cancel automatic renewal before the next billing date through the method provided at checkout (e.g., Paddle customer portal) or by contacting support@pidmate.com. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund amounts already paid.
One-time (non-renewing) purchases. If you purchase access without automatic renewal, payment is a single, non-refundable charge for the stated access period. No further charges will apply unless you make a new purchase.
5. Payment Processor
Payments may be processed by Paddle.com (or its affiliates) as merchant of record. Billing descriptors, receipts, tax, and payment disputes may appear under Paddle or its partners. Questions about charges on your statement should be directed to us at support@pidmate.com promptly.
6. Billing Errors and Unauthorized Charges
If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, wrong amount, charge after cancellation) or without authorization, contact support@pidmate.com within fourteen (14) days of the charge with your account email and transaction details.
We will review good-faith billing errors and may, at our sole discretion, issue a correction or credit. This does not create an obligation to provide refunds where this policy otherwise excludes them.
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we may:
Suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service
Dispute the chargeback with evidence of delivery of the Service and your acceptance of this policy
Recover fees, costs, or damages permitted by law
Abusive or fraudulent chargebacks may be referred for collection or legal action.
8. Mandatory Legal Rights (Important)
Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law, including:
Consumer withdrawal or cooling-off rights (where applicable, e.g., certain distance contracts in the EU/UK)
Refund rights required by consumer protection statutes
Rights where the Service was not supplied as described or was defective under mandatory warranty rules
Where such laws apply, we will comply with our legal obligations. If you believe mandatory law entitles you to a remedy, contact [support@pidmate.com] and identify your country of residence.
9. Academic, Promotional, and Free Access
Promotional or discounted prices are non-refundable except as required by law.
Free tiers, trials, or courtesy access are provided “as is” with no payment and no refund obligations.
Academic or affiliation-based pricing may require verification. If verification fails, we may revoke discounted access without refund of amounts already paid, where permitted by law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may be communicated via the Service, email, or our website. Your continued use of the Service or new purchases after the effective date constitute acceptance of the updated policy, except where law requires otherwise.
